For dinner, drinks on the terrace or a table for three generations. During the day you can just walk in.

Getting to De Brug

  • On foot or by bike

    Ten minutes from the centre along the quay. Leave your bike in the rack by the terrace.

  • By car

    Behind the café is a car park with 30 spaces. On summer Saturdays it fills up fast.

  • By boat

    Eight moorings at our jetty, for boats up to 10 metres. Clearance under the closed bridge: 2.40 m.

  • By bus

    The Brugplein bus stop is two minutes away, with four buses an hour.

What guests ask us

Anything unclear? Message or call the bar. Someone answers from nine o'clock.

Do I need to book?

Not during the day. Come in and find a table, there almost always is one. Coming for dinner or with a group of six or more? Then do book.

Can I book on the terrace?

Yes, for drinks and dinner. Weather letting you down? Then you sit inside by the window.

Can I moor my boat?

Yes, at our own jetty, free while you're with us. Let us know if you're already on the water and we'll keep a mooring for you.

Can I charge my electric boat?

The jetty has two charging points with shore power. A charge costs €5, which we add to your bill.

Can I bring the dog?

Of course, outside and downstairs in the café. There's a water bowl by the bar.

Where do I park the car?

Behind the café is a car park with 30 spaces. Bikes go in the rack on the quay.

Do you have anything for children?

A kids' menu, high chairs and a pile of colouring sheets. On the jetty, please hold hands.

Anything you can't eat?

Tell us when you order. Jorn is happy to cook around it.

Can I get in with a wheelchair?

The café and terrace are on one level, there is an accessible toilet and the Brugzaal has a lift.
