Can any kitchen be spray-painted?
Almost any. Solid wood, lacquered MDF and veneer are fine. Foil we remove from the front first. Plastic and melamine get an adhesion primer. We don't spray real acrylic high gloss or glass: lacquer doesn't grip well on those.
How many days are my cupboards open?
Usually five to seven working days. We collect on Monday and rehang the week after. Your cupboards stay usable.
How tough is sprayed lacquer?
We spray with 2K PU lacquer, the same lacquer kitchen factories use. Once cured, it's scratch-resistant and stands up to grease and cleaning products. Do use a soft cloth, not a scouring sponge.
Which gloss level should I choose?
Almost everyone picks satin matt for a kitchen: calm, and you barely see fingerprints. Matt is beautiful, but on dark colours it needs wiping more often. High gloss is mirror-like and costs 35 per cent more, because we polish it.
Can you still see the wood grain?
When spraying opaque on oak you can still see the grain a little. If you want it gone completely, we fill the pores first. That costs €9 extra per front.
Can I bring my fronts myself?
Yes. Numbered and with the handles off, Monday to Friday. That saves the dismantling and collection, and so €195 on a whole kitchen.
Do you give a guarantee?
Three years on the adhesion of the lacquer. If anything peels, we respray the front.
