Paintwork that lasts for years. And a plan for the years after.

Kleurecht paints houses and apartment complexes in Voorbeeldstad and the surrounding area. With a steady crew of sixteen craftspeople, since 1987. We don't paint once and disappear: we keep track of when your frames need paint again.

A painting cycle, from survey to the next coat

Good exterior paintwork lasts six to eight years. Then the cycle starts again. This is what that cycle looks like with us, for an ordinary terraced house. The line on the left is painted like a frame: bare wood first, then primer, undercoat and topcoat.

  1. Week 0

    Survey at your home

A site manager walks round the house with you. He probes the wood, measures the moisture and checks sealant, glass and gutters. He photographs every spot that needs attention for you.

  2. Week 1

    Quote and colour

Seven days later there's a quote per item. Unsure about colour? Our colour adviser holds the samples up to your facade, in real daylight.

  3. Day 1

    Scaffold and covering

The scaffold goes up, windows and garden are covered. You get one fixed point of contact: the crew's foreman.

Four-storey deck-access block in scaffolding, walkways neatly covered, a painter lacquering a balcony railing
  4. Day 2 – 4

    Sanding, repairing, sealing

Loose paint off, wood rot out and filled with two-part filler, joints resealed. This takes the most hours. It's also why it lasts for years.

  5. Day 5 – 8

    Coat by coat

On bare wood first primer, then undercoat, then topcoat. Drying and light sanding between each coat. Lacquer only goes on when the wood is dry and it's above 7 °C.

    1. WoodBare and dry: moisture content below 18%.
    2. PrimerSalmon pink. Soaks into the grain so everything grips.
    3. UndercoatFills and levels. Then lightly sanded.
    4. TopcoatColour, gloss and protection from sun and rain.
  6. Day 9

    Handover

You check everything with the foreman. Anything that could be better goes on the snagging list and is done within a week. Then the scaffold comes down and we sweep the pavement.

  7. Year 3

    Check-up

After three years the site manager comes to look, without you having to ask. We touch up small damage straight away. That's cheaper than waiting.

  8. Year 6

    The next cycle

Time again? We'll get in touch. We already know your house, so the quote is ready quickly.

Outside in sun and wind, inside when it's bleak

A painter works with the year. Lacquer needs dry weather and at least 7 °C. That's why we're on the scaffold from March to October and paint indoors in winter. Click a service for everything that goes with it.

  • Exterior paintingMarch to October, in dry weather above 7 °C
  • VvE maintenancework April to September, planning all year
  • Interior paintingall year round, with a winter discount from November to February
  • Long-term maintenance plansurvey in autumn, ready for the AGM in spring

Winter discount. Indoor painting between November and March? Then 10% comes off the labour.

For owners' associations: ten years ahead on one sheet

A board wants to look ahead: what maintenance is coming and what will it cost? A long-term maintenance plan shows per item when it gets painted, touched up or inspected. The budget per year is at the bottom.

We update the plan every year. So there are no surprises at the members' meeting.
