Stekker started in 2019 in an old print shop on Voorbeeldstraat. Okke and Romy worked for years as technicians at a franchised dealer and saw more and more electric cars come in, but few garages that really understood them. So they set up on their own: only electric and hybrid, all makes, with batteries as their speciality.
At the dealer they saw how often a complete battery pack was ordered when one module was faulty. Or how a customer bought a used car without knowing the state of the battery. That could be done better, and more honestly.
At Stekker we measure first and talk afterwards. You get an explanation without jargon, a report you can check yourself and a price before we unscrew anything. Makes don’t matter to us, including the new Chinese and Korean models.

NEN 9140 is the Dutch standard for safe work on electric vehicles. AVP, VP and VOP say who may do what: from explaining to opening a battery pack.
How an appointment goes
- 1BookChoose a time online and type in your registration. The confirmation lands in your inbox.
- 2Plug inYou park the car at the workshop. Want to charge while you wait? Then we plug it into the rapid charger.
- 3MeasureWe read the battery management system and measure each cell. If we work on high voltage, the power comes off first.
- 4ExplainYou get the report as a PDF and we go through it together. We do no work without your OK.
