A dealer often only reads the figure the car calculates itself. We measure too: per cell, under load and with an insulation test. So the report is right even when the software is a little optimistic.

  1. State of Health94%How much capacity is left, compared with when the car was new.
  2. Usable capacity72.8 of 77.4 kWhWhat you really use when you leave with a full battery.
  3. Cell balance9 mV differenceThe highest and lowest cells are close together. As it should be.
  4. Insulation resistance> 550 MΩNo leakage current from high voltage to the bodywork.
  5. Range now± 410 kmAt 20 °C, driving calmly with the air con off. In winter, expect 300 to 330 km.
  6. Rapid chargingup to 230 kWThe battery still takes full speed. The software isn’t throttling anything.
  7. Fault codes0No messages in the battery management system.

What does that percentage mean?

How to read your State of Health
  1. 95 – 100%As newYou notice no wear at all.
  2. 90 – 95%Very goodNormal after three or four years of driving. No worries.
  3. 85 – 90%NormalA bit less range in winter. Fine to buy or keep.
  4. 80 – 85%Take care when buyingFactor it into the price and check how long the battery warranty still runs.
  5. under 80%Get it checkedOften covered by the battery warranty (usually 70% after eight years). We find out whether it’s one module.

No compressor kicking in, no engine idling, no smell of oil. A workshop for electric cars is quiet and clean. But the pack carries 400 to 800 volts. So we work with insulated gloves, rubber mats and a fixed sequence we never skip.

  • 0 litres of oil in the workshop
  • 1000 V insulation class of our gloves
  • 5 rules before anyone touches an orange cable

About us

Charge while we measure.

Plug your car into our rapid charger. Half an hour later you have a report and a battery that’s a good deal fuller. The receipt only shows the kWh.
