Frequently asked questions

The questions we hear most at the bandstand.

I never run. Is this for me?

Yes. Start to run begins at zero, with short bits of running and walking. You build your fitness here, you don’t need to bring it.

What if it rains?

Then we just run. Only thunder or icy paths cancel a session. You’ll hear by 17:00 through the group chat.

What does it cost?

Membership costs €35 a month for two sessions a week, or €22.50 for Saturdays only. You can stop any month.

What should I wear?

Good running shoes, clothes in layers and a water bottle. In the winter months a light or a reflective vest.

I’m afraid I’ll be the slowest.

Every group runs at the pace of its slowest runner. The coach runs at the back, never at the front.

Can I join halfway through the season?

With the Ten and Tempo groups you always can. A new starter group begins in January, April, September and November.

Do I need a sports watch?

No, the coach keeps time. If you do have one, we’ll teach you how to read your pace on it.
