Book your trial class
Choose a class and a day that suits your diary. By the next working day at the latest we’ll email you a short list: grip socks, water, and how the reformer works.
Frequently asked questions
Before your first time on the reformer
- I’ve never done pilates. Can I join a group straight away?
- Yes. Start with a trial class or a Basic class. Come a little early and the teacher will calmly show you how the reformer works and how to change the springs.
- What do I wear to class?
- Close-fitting sportswear, so the teacher can see your posture. Grip socks are required on the reformer. Forgot them? You can buy a pair for €12.
- I have back problems. Is pilates a good idea?
- Often it is, but let us know beforehand. With serious complaints we recommend an intake or a few private classes first. Marit is an exercise therapist and will look at it with you.
- From when can I do pregnancy pilates?
- From 14 weeks. After giving birth you start the postnatal series after your postnatal check, usually after six weeks. After a caesarean you wait a bit longer, in consultation with your midwife.
- I can’t make it. How late can I cancel?
- Up to 12 hours before class, in the booking app or by email. After that the class comes off your card. There’s almost always someone on the reserve list, so your spot isn’t wasted.
- Does my health insurance cover the classes?
- Group classes usually not. Sometimes your employer contributes through a sports scheme. We put the invoice in your name.
- Can men join too?
- Definitely. In Sjoerd’s early classes about a third are men. Pilates is good for anyone with a back.
Grip socks, springs, your back: almost everyone wonders about the same things.
