Every morning Léon writes the menu of the day on the mirror: a starter from the market, that weekday's plat du jour and a dessert. Three courses for €38.50, and for €21 Imke pours three matching glasses.

The menu of a real Lyon bouchon: steak frites with béarnaise we whisk ourselves, two-day coq au vin, quenelle de brochet with crayfish sauce and the tarte aux pralines roses.
iii.
At the zinc bar you can have a glass, a 46-centilitre pot lyonnais or a whole bottle. With a board of rosette, warm gougères or cheese. No need to book.
iv.
The room above the bistro is yours: one nine-metre table or four round ones, your own waiter and a menu you choose with Léon. For birthdays, anniversaries and dinner with colleagues.
