Corné and Inge are RDW-approved inspectors. An APK (the Dutch MOT) takes about 45 minutes and you’re welcome to stay. If something fails, we first tell you what the fix costs. You decide whether we do it straight away. Want to think it over? Then the retest within eight weeks is free.

Book
Pick a day. Two months before your due date we email you, so you don’t have to remember.

Inspect
The inspector works through the RDW list: brakes on the roller tester, lights, tyres, emissions, rust, steering and suspension.

Resultclick
Passed? Then we register your car with the RDW straight away. You no longer need a paper certificate.

Failed?
You get the failure point and a price to fix it. Say yes and we fix it. The retest within eight weeks is free.
What the inspector checks
Brakes and tyres
Braking on the roller tester, tread, damage and tyre pressure.
Lights and visibility
Headlights, rear lights, windows, wipers and mirrors.
Emissions
Exhaust gas test, particulate filter and leaks.
Bodywork
Rust on load-bearing parts, underbody and sills.
Steering and suspension
Play, shock absorbers, springs and ball joints.
Questions about the APK
When does my car need its APK?
That depends on year and fuel. Most petrol cars need their first one after four years, then every two years, and every year from eight years old. We email you two months before the due date.
Can I wait during the APK?
Yes. An APK takes about 45 minutes. The waiting area has wifi, and you can watch the workshop through the glass wall.
Failed. What now?
The inspection list shows which point didn’t pass, with the price to fix it. If we repair it right away, we retest the same day. Want to think it over? Then the retest within eight weeks is free.
Can I have my APK done early?
Yes, up to two months before the due date without losing any time. The new date then counts from the old due date.
