About us
Building locally since 1991
Vincent started in 1991 with one van. Now twelve tradespeople are on the permanent staff, and every job still has one site manager you know.

Why we do everything ourselves
A renovation almost never overruns because of the work itself. It overruns because of waiting: for the tiler who's still on another job, for the installer who can't come for two weeks. So we simply took those tradespeople on.
Mats is the site manager. He makes the schedule, orders the materials and is on site every day. Got a question? You call him. Not an office, not a call centre.
Yvonne handles the quotes, permits and admin at the office. Vincent still drops by the site regularly. Usually with coffee, sometimes with criticism.
- 1991
Vincent Stevig sets up on his own: a tipper truck, a cement mixer and a shed full of scaffold boards.
- 2003
The first tiler and installer join the permanent staff. From now on we do bathrooms ourselves.
- 2012
Son Mats joins, first as a carpenter and later as site manager.
- 2019
Own workshop and office on Voorbeeldstraat, with storage for materials.
- 2026
Twelve permanent tradespeople, and still one site manager per job.
Our tradespeople
These tradespeople build at your home
- 4carpentersShell work, roofs, window frames and interior walls.
- 3bricklayersFoundations, facades and brickwork that stays standing.
- 2tilersBathrooms, kitchens and floors.
- 2installersWater, drainage, electrics and heating.
- 1site managerMats: plans, arranges and is your fixed point of contact.
All our tradespeople are VCA certified. Stevig is an accredited training company, so there's nearly always an apprentice along.
How we work
How your renovation goes, step by step
No surprises halfway. Before the first spade goes in, you know the price, the tradespeople and the handover date.
Discuss your building plan- Beforehand
Kitchen table talk
Mats comes round, looks around and measures up. You tell him what you want and roughly what you want to spend. That conversation costs nothing.
- Week 1 – 2
Sketch, price and schedule
You get a drawing, a weekly schedule and a quote with a fixed price. It states exactly what is and isn't included.
- Week 3 – 8
Permission and ordering
If permission is needed, we submit the application. Meanwhile we order frames and materials, so nobody has to wait later.
- Building
An update every Friday
Mats is on site every day. On Friday he sends a photo and three lines: what's done and what starts on Monday.
- Handover
Walk-round with the list
Mats walks through every room with you and notes small points. They're fixed within two weeks at the latest. After that, a six-month maintenance period applies.
Guarantees
This is in every contract
- Fixed priceThe amount at the bottom of the quote is the amount on the final invoice. Extra work is put to you first, price and all.
- CAR insuranceEvery project is insured against damage during the build, to your house and to the neighbours'.
- Pay in instalmentsYou pay per completed phase, never in advance for work that isn't done yet.
- Six months' aftercareIf a door sticks after handover or a sealant joint comes loose, we come back. You don't have to call twice.
Service area
Never further than 25 kilometres
We work in Voorbeeldstad and the villages up to about 25 kilometres around the workshop. That way Mats can drop by every day, and a tradesperson is quickly at your door if you have a question.
Plans for your home?
Put your plans on the table. Mats will bring a tape measure.
A first chat at your home is free. Mats tells you honestly whether it can be done, gives a first price and checks the schedule for when we can start.
