Arjen started in 1996 with an old Transit and an extension ladder. Now his son Gerben is on the roof, with five permanent colleagues and Renske in the office.

Dakwerken Hoog & Droog was started in 1996 by Arjen Hoogland, with an old Transit and an extension ladder. Now six roofers are on the permanent staff and son Gerben is in charge on the roof. We only work in Voorbeeldstad and the surrounding villages, so we're with you quickly when there's a leak.
We deliberately don't take on jobs far away. When there's a storm in Voorbeeldstad, we don't want to be stuck in traffic. That's also why we know the roofs here: the 1930s neighbourhoods with their steep roofs, the 1975 terraces with flat extensions, the town houses along the canal with their box gutters.

How we work
Five fixed steps, for a few tiles just as much as for a whole roof.
- Roof inspection
We go up on the roof and photograph everything we see. Free. If you don't have anything done afterwards, you still keep the photos.
- Price per item
Three working days after the inspection you have the quote: per m² or per metre, incl. VAT.
- Planning around the weather
We work on dry days. If it starts raining, we reschedule, and you'll hear in good time.
- Closed every evening
However big the job: when we go home, your roof is watertight.
- Handover with photos
You get photos of the work and a ten-year guarantee certificate.
Safe at height
A roof is a workplace where you can't afford to trip. Everyone here has a VCA certificate and works with fall protection. With the ladder hoist we take tiles and rolls of bitumen up without lugging them up the ladder.
We never torch close to timber without a fire watch. After torching, we stay on the roof for another hour.
