Wedding rings
Two rings, designed together at the workbench.
Your wedding rings never leave my studio for a factory: from a bar of gold to a polished ring with your engraving inside. Plain, hammered, with a small stone or in two colours of gold. Rather do it yourselves? In the day workshop you forge each other’s ring, with me beside you.
- 14 or 18 carat gold, or platinum
- Hand engraving on the inside
- Day workshop: forge each other’s ring
Prices by fineness
| 585 | 14 carat yellow or rose gold, plain, per pair | from €1,450 |
| 750 | 18 carat yellow gold, per pair | from €1,950 |
| 950 | Platinum, per pair | from €2,650 |
| day | Day workshop: forge each other’s ring, per pair, gold extra | € 395 |
Plan ahead
Come two to three months before the wedding. The day workshop is on Saturday, with no more than one couple at a time. After the workshop I finish your rings myself and strike my hallmark.

Engagement rings
One stone, chosen with care.
You choose the stone at my workbench, under the loupe: a natural or lab-grown diamond, a sapphire or something unexpected. Then I make the setting so the stone catches the light and the ring later sits nicely next to a wedding ring. Don’t know the ring size? We’ll find a way together.
- Diamond, sapphire or a stone of your choice
- Setting made to fit the stone
- Sits well next to a wedding ring later
Prices by stone and metal
| 585 | 14 carat with 0.20 ct lab-grown diamond | from €1,250 |
| 750 | 18 carat with Ceylon sapphire | from €1,650 |
| 750 | 18 carat with 0.30 ct natural diamond | from €2,450 |
| 950 | Platinum solitaire with 0.30 ct diamond | from €2,950 |
Keeping it secret?
Bring a ring she already wears, and I’ll measure it on the mandrel. If the size is still not right, I’ll adjust it once free of charge.

Remaking family gold
Old gold, a new piece.
Grandma’s ring, your father’s chain, an earring without its partner. I weigh and test the gold, melt it in my studio and make something you will actually wear. Your own gold comes back, and the memory comes with it.
- Weighing and testing while you watch
- Melting and casting in my own studio
- Your own gold is credited
What remaking costs
| GV | Ring from your own gold, labour | from €295 |
| GV | Pendant from your own gold, with bail | from €245 |
| + | Topping up gold if there isn’t enough | at the day’s price |
| 0 | Weighing and testing during the appointment | free |
Is it enough?
A slim ring needs about 3 grams, a sturdy wedding ring 5 to 7 grams. If your gold isn’t enough, I top it up with Fairmined gold of the same fineness.

Repairs and alterations
Smaller, bigger, whole and shining again.
A ring that pinches or spins, a chain that broke, a stone that’s loose. I look at it at the workbench and tell you straight away what it costs. Making a ring smaller is often done before the weekend.
- Making rings smaller or bigger
- Soldering chains and clasps
- Setting stones and polishing
Fixed repair prices
| ↓ | Make a ring smaller | € 45 |
| ↑ | Make a ring bigger | from €55 |
| ∞ | Solder a chain or clasp | from €29 |
| ◇ | Secure a stone or renew claws | from €39 |
| ✦ | Polishing, re-plating white gold with rhodium | € 49 |
| Aa | Hand engraving on the inside | from €35 |
Dropping it off
For a repair too, just make an appointment. At the bench I tell you the price, and you often have the piece back after a few days.
What’s your ring size?
In the Netherlands your ring size is the circumference of your finger in millimetres. On the mandrel I measure it in seconds. You can also do it at home.
| Size | Circumference | Inner diameter |
|---|---|---|
| 48 | 48 mm | 15.3 mm |
| 50 | 50 mm | 15.9 mm |
| 52 | 52 mm | 16.6 mm |
| 54 | 54 mm | 17.2 mm |
| 56 | 56 mm | 17.8 mm |
| 58 | 58 mm | 18.5 mm |
| 60 | 60 mm | 19.1 mm |
| 62 | 62 mm | 19.7 mm |
| 64 | 64 mm | 20.4 mm |
- Measure in the evening. Your fingers are slightly thicker then than in the morning.
- Use a strip of paper. Wrap it round your finger, make a mark and measure the length in millimetres. That’s your size.
- A wide ring fits tighter. From 6 mm wide, you usually go half a size up.
- Still unsure? Then we measure it together on the mandrel. That costs nothing.
Gold, platinum and stones
- 585
14 carat gold
58.5 per cent pure gold. Strong and affordable. In yellow, rose and white.
- 750
18 carat gold
Deeper in colour and softer in the hand. Lovely for a ring you never take off.
- 950
Platinum
Heavy, grey and hypoallergenic. Doesn’t turn yellower or whiter, only softer in sheen.

Stones
Natural and lab-grown diamonds, sapphires and more. I only buy from suppliers who show where they come from.
My gold is Fairmined or recycled; your own old gold stays yours and goes only into your piece.
