What leaks, runs
or is stuck,we fix.
Four kinds of job, one emergency number. For each job: our approach, how long it takes and a guide price.
Leak
Traced with thermal imaging and a moisture meter, repaired with as little breaking as possible.
A wet patch on the ceiling doesn't tell you where the leak is. Water runs along pipes and joists and sometimes turns up metres away. So first we get out the measuring kit: a thermal camera, a moisture meter and, if needed, a pressure test on your pipes. Only once we've found the leak do we open up. Usually that's one tile or a small piece of board, not half a bathroom. We leave a report with photos for your insurer.
From call to done
- 1We ask where you see water and since when
- 2Measure with thermal imaging, moisture meter or pressure test
- 3Open up where the leak is
- 4Repair, test, email the report

Blockage
Toilet, sink, shower or drain clear again, usually within the hour.
A blockage is almost always deeper than you think. With a drain rod or a high-pressure jetter we clear the drain, and for a sewer that keeps blocking we use the camera to see what's wrong: a sag, a root or a fat plug. That way you fix it once instead of every six months.
From call to done
- 1Where the water is, and since when
- 2Unblock with drain rod or high-pressure jetter
- 3Camera in if it keeps coming back
- 4Flush through and leave it clean
Taps and toilets
A dripping tap or a toilet that keeps running: replace or repair.
A running toilet can easily waste thousands of litres of water a year. So can a dripping tap. Often a new valve, a float or a tap washer is enough. If the tap is worn out, we fit a new one: one you bought yourself, or one we bring. Most parts travel with us in the van.
From call to done
- 1You message a photo of the tap or cistern
- 2We bring the right part
- 3Replace or repair
- 4Test for leaks and running

A running toilet or a dripping tap: usually done within thirty minutes.
Bathroom pipework
Water and drainage for your new bathroom, pressure tested before the tiles go on.
A new bathroom stands or falls by what's behind the tiles. We lay the water pipes and drainage exactly where your shower, basin and toilet go, with enough fall. Then we pressure test them and take photos of the pipework before it's closed in. Is there also a builder or tiler at work? Then we agree the schedule with them.
From call to done
- 1Go through the drawing together, on site
- 2Lay pipework and drainage with a fall
- 3Pressure test and photos before it's closed in
- 4Final fitting once the tiles are on

Another job with water?
A washing machine tap, a frozen outside tap, a leaking water heater: call or message. If we don't do it ourselves, we'll name a colleague who does.
