One number.

Waterdicht is a team of six plumbers, with Krista in the office. Edwin started in 2009 with a van full of fittings and a phone that was always on. It still is: two of us are always on call, even at Christmas. You know the price in advance, and we take our rubbish with us.

Monday morning, 07:15. The vans are loaded for the day.

One van, and a phone that was always on.

Edwin worked for a national installer for twelve years. There he saw people with water on the floor get a phone menu, and an engineer ‘tomorrow between eight and five’. In 2009 he started his own business, with one promise: whoever calls gets a plumber on the line.

That promise has stayed. The team is now six plumbers, and Krista does the planning. During the day we do normal jobs: taps, toilets and bathroom pipework. In the evening and at night two of us are always on call, with a van fitted out as a workshop.

We work in Voorbeeldstad and the villages around it. No further, because then we wouldn't make those two hours. You don't pay for a national call centre, and whoever comes knows the houses in the area: the 1930s homes with lead pipes, the flats with a shared riser.

A workshop on wheels.

Every van has the same layout, so everyone can find everything blindfolded. That way we hardly ever have to go back to the merchant.

    Search first, only then open up. If it can't be done in one go, we seal it temporarily.

    Old material goes back in the van. You pay by card or get an invoice.
