About this website

About us

Two owners, an Italian man with flour on his apron and a Dutch woman, laughing in front of the open hatch of their red pizza truck

An uncle in Caserta and a 1974 Estafette

Bella Fiamma means “beautiful flame”. That's what Pascal called the first oven he fired himself.

Pascal and Rianne

Pascal grew up in Caserta, near Naples, and baked pizza as a boy in his uncle's pizzeria. Rianne organised events for twelve years. In 2017 they bought a 1974 Renault Estafette together and built a 1,200-kilo oven into it.

Pascal kneads, balls and bakes. Rianne plans the parties, calls wedding venues about access roads and works the hatch herself on busy nights. At big parties Nick and Elif bake too; Pascal trained both of them for a year before they got the peel.

We do around ninety parties a year. No more, because we make the dough ourselves and that takes two days.

The oven

A dome of firebrick from near Naples, 1,200 kilos, with a 1.10-metre floor. Two hours of burning beech and it's up to temperature.

The truck

A Renault Estafette, once owned by a baker in Brittany. Rianne's father sprayed it red, Pascal built the oven in. It does 80 and that's fast enough.
