Quinten and Jacco married in the morning at the town hall, with just their two witnesses. Before that they wanted one thing: to watch the sun rise on the heath, the two of them, in their wedding clothes.

We were in the car park at half past five, with flasks of coffee. The mist still hung between the birches. When the sun broke through, the heath turned from grey to purple in ten minutes.

After the town hall the five of us had breakfast at a pancake house. Those photos are in the album too.
