What we do in your garden

From the regular monthly visit to the big autumn clean-up. Everything can be booked separately; a subscription is the best value.

01

Monthly maintenance

The same gardener, always on the same weekday.

Your gardener comes on your area's route day. He mows, edges the lawn, hoes the borders, deadheads and sweeps the paths and terrace. Then he sends a message with two photos and anything he noticed.

  • Mowing and edging
  • Hoeing and trimming borders
  • Paths and terrace weed-free
  • Message with photo after every visit

Hedges and pruning

Hedges crisp in June and September, shrubs and fruit trees at the right time.

We cut hedges along a taut string line, slightly narrower at the top, so the bottom gets light too and stays full. The first time in June, the second in September. Fruit trees and espaliers we prune in January and February, when the sap is still.

  • Privet, beech, yew, hornbeam
  • Along a string line, straight and tapered
  • Fruit trees and espaliers in winter
  • Nests always come first

Lawn care

Scarifying, overseeding and feeding for a dense lawn.

Moss and thatch out with the scarifier, bare patches overseeded with a strong grass seed mix and an organic feed on top. In April or September, when the soil is moist and not cold. After that we mow a bit higher the first few times.

  • Scarifying and moss removal
  • Overseeding with a renovation mix
  • Organic feeding
  • Re-cutting lawn edges

Seasonal visits

A big spring and autumn visit, separately or in your subscription.

In March we get the garden ready for the season: cutting back perennials, tidying borders, feeding and replanting where needed. In November we clear the leaves, get the borders ready for winter and the last trailer of green waste goes off.

  • Spring: cutting back and feeding
  • Autumn: leaf clearing and winter prep
  • Replanting after consultation
  • Everything neatly taken away
