A crew of four, 310 gardens
Snoeischaar started in 2009 with one van, a trailer and Rutger Bergsma. Now four of us look after more than 310 gardens in Voorbeeldstad. Every area has a fixed route day and every garden a regular gardener.
From one-man business to regular crew
- Rutger buys a van with a trailer
He pruned public green spaces for the council for twelve years. Now he wants gardens he sees again every month.
- The first route days
A hundred gardens. Rutger divides Voorbeeldstad into five areas, each with a fixed day.
- Xander joins
First as an apprentice, now the regular gardener for North and East.
- Electric
Two electric vans and battery tools. At half seven the street barely hears us.
- 310 gardens, four people
And Rutger still prunes every fruit tree himself.

Rutger or Xander does the garden scan at your home. Free. Whether you then take out a subscription is up to you.
