From question to first year

  1. 01

    The wish

A family with a heat pump and a high electricity bill in winter and in the evening. They wanted to know whether a home battery would really pay off for them.

  2. 02

    The roof

A steep south-facing roof with a chimney in the middle. In the layout we keep a space free around the chimney, so no full row is in shade.

  3. 03

    The solution

Fourteen panels and a 10 kWh battery in the utility room. The control tops up during the cheap hours of their dynamic contract and supplies the heat pump in the evening.

  4. 04

    So far

In the first six months they used 71 per cent of their solar power themselves. Without a battery it would be around 30 per cent.

What can your roof do?

A roof scan costs nothing. Five working days later we email a layout and an honest calculation, even if the answer is that it doesn't pay off for you.
