From question to first year

  1. 01

    The wish

The Weststrate family had the old roof of their young-stock barn replaced and wanted the new roof to start working straight away. The milking machine and the cooling tank run every day, from five in the morning.

  2. 02

    The roof

A large, shallow pitched roof of new sandwich panels. Strong enough, with its own connection on the farmyard.

  3. 03

    The solution

Forty-eight panels per side and two inverters. With a shallow pitch we agree a cleaning visit every spring: otherwise dust from the yard and birds leave a film.

  4. 04

    After a year

34,900 kWh. About half goes straight to the milking parlour, the rest goes onto the grid.

What can your roof do?

A roof scan costs nothing. Five working days later we email a layout and an honest calculation, even if the answer is that it doesn't pay off for you.
