Do I need to book a table?
No. Coffee or lunch? Just walk in. Only a group table or the back room needs booking ahead.
Can I work on my laptop here?
Yes, there is free wifi. Between 12:00 and 14:00 we ask you to sit at the work table by the window, so the small tables are free for lunch.
Is your dog welcome?
Of course. There is a water bowl for them at the entrance, and a biscuit behind the bar.
Does a pushchair fit inside?
Yes. No step at the entrance, and the toilet is big enough for a wheelchair.
Food and drink
Do you have vegan options?
At least two vegan lunch dishes and a vegan cake every day. Oat milk and soya milk cost nothing extra.
Can I eat gluten-free?
We always have gluten-free bread. We bake the cakes in the same kitchen as everything else. If you have coeliac disease, skip them.
Why does the menu change?
Doortje cooks with what the season brings. There is a new menu every season, and the soup and cakes change in between.
Do you have syrup for your coffee?
No. Our beans already taste of berries, chocolate or caramel on their own. Fancy something sweet? Try the chai.
Groups and the back room
How many people fit in the back room?
Sixteen at the oak table, or twenty-four standing. There is a screen with HDMI and USB-C.
Do you charge for the back room?
No, not for eight or more people taking a package. Fewer people or no package: €45 per half day.
Can we hire the whole coffee bar?
After 17:00 you can, for a birthday drinks or a staff party. Send us a request and we will work out the cost for you.
Beans to take home
Can I buy your beans?
We sell every bean on the menu in 250 gram bags, and the house blend by the kilo too. We grind them free for your kit.
How long do the beans stay good?
A bean is at its best between one and three weeks after roasting. Every bag shows the roast date.
Do you supply offices?
Yes, for offices in Voorbeeldstad we deliver beans every two weeks. From 2 kilos per delivery, ask about the price.
Your team at the oak table?
The back room is there for meetings, birthdays and tastings. Sixteen seats, with coffee from the bar and lunch from Doortje.
