Restaurants
Menu, atmosphere and bookings, including groups and packages. Four fictional businesses, four very different sites: from five pages to a site with more than ten pages. Whatever you come up with, we can make.
Restaurant Smaakmakers
Restaurant. A seasonal restaurant is all about the produce. That’s why under every ingredient it says who made it and how far away that is, and you read the site as numbered chapters, from the current menu to your own table. Dark stoneware, linen and one streak of sea buckthorn: that’s what an evening here feels like.
See example →Sushi Kawa
Japanese restaurant. A sushi bar is about three things: the light wooden counter, the knife and the rice. That’s why the menu sits on a hinoki board, thin knives separate the sections, you count the courses in grains of rice and today’s fish hangs on wooden name tags, like on the wall of a real sushi bar.
See example →Ristorante Calvani
Italian restaurant. Set up like a printed Italian menu: cream-coloured paper, Barolo red and a thin gold line. The courses in Italian order, the house menu and the wine cellar come first.
See example →Parrilla La Brasa
Argentinian steakhouse. A parrilla is a long, low fire, so every page opens with a wide panorama of the grill and you open the menu with the crank wheel the asador uses to raise and lower the grate. The colours come from charcoal, ash, glowing embers and malbec, and the typefaces (Sansita Swashed and Chivo) were designed in Buenos Aires.
