A dormer or extension, without the hassle
The work itself
An extra bedroom in the loft or a kitchen-diner with a roof light above it. A dormer or extension gives you space without moving house. We do it all: the pencil sketch at your kitchen table, the permission, the build and the finishing.
- Prefab dormer in uPVC or timber
- Made-to-measure dormer for older homes
- Extensions in timber frame construction
- Garden room with sliding doors and roof light
- Drawing, structural calculation and permission
- Interior finishing: plaster, window sills, skirting
We assemble dormers in our own workshop. On build day one the crane lifts it into place, and by evening your loft is wind- and watertight. Inside, we then finish with plasterboard, window sills and skirting. Extensions we build in timber frame: fast, dry and well insulated.

Questions
About extensions and dormers
Can I build a dormer without planning permission?
At the back often yes, at the front usually not. Jacco checks with the council before there is even a drawing.
How long does planning permission take?
Allow eight weeks after applying. Meanwhile we order timber and glass. Once we get the green light, we start straight away.
Do we have to sleep somewhere else during the build?
No. The back wall only opens once the extension is closed. Dust usually lasts a day or two at most.
