Services
What I help you with
Four things that are often connected. A stiff neck rarely comes alone. So I always look at your whole posture, your breathing and your day.

Back and neck problems
Lower back, neck, shoulders and tension headaches.
With back and neck problems, I don’t just look for the spot that hurts, but for the habit behind it. How you lift, how you sit, how you carry your head when you are tired. We practise the movements from your normal day, so your back regains its confidence. No long list of exercises, just a few that really fit into your day.
What I help you with
- Lower back pain and slipped disc
- Neck and shoulder problems
- Tension headaches
- Lifting and bending without fear
Length of treatment Usually 6 to 9 sessions, thirty minutes each.

Posture
Learning to stand, sit and walk differently, in front of the mirror.
Good posture is not a straight back you hold for hours. It is a posture that takes little effort. With the Mensendieck method we work in front of the mirror: you see your own movements, feel the difference and learn to adjust it yourself. Also for fast-growing teenagers, and for scoliosis or a hollow back.
What I help you with
- Posture assessment with the plumb line
- Scoliosis and a hollow or rounded back
- Practising in front of the mirror
- Growing teenagers
Length of treatment Usually 6 to 10 sessions, with homework in front of the mirror.

Breathing and tension
Hyperventilation, tension and restless nights.
When you are tense for a long time, your breathing becomes high and fast. You feel it in your neck, your temples or as a tight feeling. I teach you to breathe low and calmly again: first lying down, then on a chair and standing, and finally in the middle of a busy day. I use the Van Dixhoorn relaxation method for this.
What I help you with
- Hyperventilation and breathlessness
- Stress and overload
- Sleep problems
- Breathing therapy using the Van Dixhoorn method
Length of treatment Usually 6 to 8 sessions, sometimes an hour long.

Workstation and screen
Advice at your desk, wherever it is.
Many complaints start behind a screen. I visit you at your kitchen table or at work and see how you really work. Chair, desk, screen and above all: how often you move. Afterwards you get a short report with what you can change straight away, and a few exercises for in between.
What I help you with
- Workstation assessment at home or at work
- Arm, neck and shoulder complaints (KANS)
- Setting up a home workstation
- Short report, also for your employer
Length of treatment One 90-minute visit, with a report within a week.
