How your visit goes

  1. 0–5 min

    Choosing the shape

How full, how short, where the line sits on the cheek and under the jaw. Your face and how your hair grows decide.

  2. 5–10 min

    Hot towel

A steaming hot towel softens skin and hair. Eyes closed for a moment.

  3. 10–25 min

    Trimming and lines

Clippers and scissors to length, then crisp lines with the razor and warm lather.

  4. 25–30 min

    Oil and balm

A cold towel closes the skin, then beard oil or balm. We tell you how much and how often.

At home

Keeping it looking good

  1. 01

Wash your beard with beard shampoo, not ordinary soap: soap dries out the skin underneath.

  2. 02

Two or three drops of oil a day, massaged into the skin, not just the hair.

  3. 03

Growing a beard? Come in after four weeks and we’ll tidy up the lines already.

Questions

Often asked in the chair

Does a razor shave hurt?

No. With a hot towel and a sharp blade you hardly feel a thing. Sensitive skin? Tell us and we’ll go gently with the grain.

I want to grow my beard. Should I still come in?

That’s exactly when. We set the lines in the awkward weeks, so it looks tidy while it grows.
