From door to mirror

How we work

From walking in to the last stroke of the razor. This is how it goes in the chair at De Schaar.

Six steps

No rush. But on time.

We plan every treatment with a few minutes to spare. That way the diary doesn’t overrun and you don’t have to wait.

    Book or walk in

Choose your barber and time online, or just walk in. There’s always one chair free for whoever drops by.

  2. 02

    Coffee or a beer

Sit down, have a drink. Your coat goes on the rack, your phone can go away.

  3. 03

    Talk first

We discuss what you want in the mirror. Photos are welcome. If something doesn’t suit your hair, we’ll say so.

  4. 04

    In the chair

Wash, cut or fade, beard. No rush: we book generously, so the details don’t get skipped.

  5. 05

    Finishing with the razor

Neckline and outlines with warm lather and the razor. Then styling, with tips so you can do it at home too.

  6. 06

    Next time

At the till we book your next visit straight away. For a fade that’s about three weeks later.

Walk in

When is it quiet?

This is what an average week looks like. Want to walk in without waiting? Come on a Tuesday or Wednesday morning.

Regular

We book your next visit at the till.

A fade stays sharp for about three weeks, a regular cut a good month. When you pay we book your next visit, with the same barber. Doesn’t suit after all? A message is enough.

Need a tidy-up?

Book your chair with Adriaan, Isa or Gerda, or just walk in. The beer is cold.
