Breakfast and lunch

Uitsmijters, croques and fresh soup, with the morning paper.
At nine the heavy door swings open and the coffee machine is already running. You take a paper from the reading table and sit down by the window. Breakfast until half past eleven, then lunch until five: uitsmijters, croques, croquettes on bread and a fresh soup every day. No need to book, you can always walk in.
- Breakfast from 09:00 to 11:30
- Fresh soup every day
- Nine newspapers on reading sticks
Chapter two · 17:00 to 22:00
Dinner

Steak, beef stew and fresh fish. Grand café classics, done well.
At five we light the candles and the marble tables get busier. The menu has the classics that belong in a big room like this: steak with pepper sauce, Dutch beef stew, a schnitzel and the fish of the day. Jolien and her kitchen make everything themselves, chips and bitterballen included.
- Kitchen until 22:00
- Classics and a changing dish of the day
- Kids' menu for small guests
Chapter three · 17:00 until late
Drinks and billiards

Twelve taps, hand-rolled bitterballen and the billiard table at the back.
At the long bar we pour twelve beers, from an ordinary pils to a strong tripel. We roll the bitterballen ourselves. At the back is the carom billiard table under a low copper lamp: free for guests. Thursday evening is billiards night, when the regulars play straight rail.
- Twelve beers on tap
- Billiards free for guests
- Thursday 20:00 billiards night
Chapter four · by appointment, up to 120 guests
The Waagzaal

The old loft of the weigh house, for parties of up to 120 guests.
Above the café is the Waagzaal: the old loft under the oak beams of 1658. Above its own bar still hangs the weighing beam where the cheese was once weighed. This is where you get married, celebrate an anniversary or throw a staff party, with a menu you choose with Jolien in the kitchen.
- Up to 120 guests standing, 80 seated
- Own bar, sound and cloakroom
- Menu and package to suit
