Anniversary in the old print works

Forty years of printing: drinks and a seasonal buffet for 260 guests.

What they wanted

Forty years of printing, celebrated with customers, former colleagues and their partners. There had to be speeches, a film and a band, and nobody was to queue for long.

How we solved it

One long buffet would cause a jam. So we built four buffet islands between the old presses, each with the same food. Everyone was seated within ten minutes and the stage stayed clear.

The print works had menu cards printed on their own press. The guests took them home.

The set-up

This is how it looked that evening, drawn as in our running order. It shows the cooks where the kitchen goes and the staff which route they walk.
